Healing from the hurt which another person has caused for us is the first important step to take.

This is necessary for us to be able to move forward with our life and enjoy our life to its fullest potential.

There is another stage which we must move forward into and this is the stage of forgiveness.

It is necessary for us to forgive many people surrounding us.
This would include our parents, our partner, our children and of course our self.

We hold severe grudges at times which may be ongoing for years.
There are thousands of people who do not talk to others for years to come after there has been hurt inflicted from one person to another.

Much of the hurt we experience comes from breakdown within relationship, stemming from misunderstanding and in worse case scenario’s there may be violence inflicted.

Of course there is also more severe hurt inflicted on vulnerable people and this is where it becomes more difficult to even think about forgiving the person who hurt you. This is understandable and yet once you come to understand that holding the painful leftovers from this hurt, locked deep within you, is far and away more damaging to you than learning to forgive the person who has hurt you, it is then that you are ready to completely forgive.

Forgiving someone for hurting you does not mean that you ever have to have them in your life again, it simply means that you are then able to let go of your locked down emotions and heal your own life.

Life must go on and we have to know that there are people who are so severely damaged within themselves that they will hurt another person and seemingly do not care about this.
We must not allow the perpetrator of our hurt to destroy us completely.

We must have the victory over the hurt and rise from it to move forward into a happy and fulfilled life.

Leaving the hurt completely behind us will not happen without doing the healing work necessary and then forgiving the people involved.
Sometimes the hurt person does not realise the necessity of forgiving themselves, as often they blame themselves in any of a variety of ways for the hurt they have endured.

It is my wish for you that as you allow the healing waters of healing and forgiveness to wash over you , the person you are will be fully restored to the beautiful person you have always been.
