Once we have done the work of healing, it stands to reason that we need to forgive the person who has hurt us so deeply. To be able to Forgive is the final part to our healing. If we do not forgive then there are still feelings of resentment held within us. Once we have healed our wounds, it makes sense that we will not wish to hold on to any part of the hurt. There are stages to work through in order to arrive at the ability to forgive. We firstly take a look at these stages and what they mean to us. Stage one entails, focussing on the pain which we have experienced, stage two involves us owning the painful and resentful feelings locked within us, stage three will mean that we need to re-visit our experience, stage four involves doing a thorough search into our feelings, stage five means that we learn to rearrange our former belief system regarding our hurt, stage six is where we actually allow our feelings of anger be released, in stage seven we take stock of what we have learned about our self and bring this forward into our new life, stage eight is leaving behind all of the negativity which has continued to haunt us, stage nine is where we reach a new level of understanding our self, stage ten is starting over and stage eleven heralds the beginning of being able to see others differently.
