Right throughout our life it is necessary for us to have the ability to ask for what we need and want. Often within our childhood days we would ask for what we wanted, only to be met with reasons why we could not have just what we wanted. We need to firstly know the difference between a need and a want and we need to understand that it OK to want and need. With correct explanation we would nearly always understand why our parents would have to say no and yet often children were left without any explanation at all and then they would be forced to make up reasons for this rejection. This is where we learned to form conclusions and make assumptions and often mark our self down as not worthy or not good enough to get what we needed.
