It is interesting to know just how a child’s personality is developed. This module provides valuable insight into the character formation of your child. Because a child does not develop their actual personality until they around the age of seven, it is important to fully realise that whatever and whoever they are exposed to throughout this first seven years will contribute to the development of who they are as a person. Having this awareness creates a feeling of responsibility within a parent. I certainly would have policed the viewing my children did if I had known this. There also may have been certain people who would not have been figureheads within my children’s life. We really must be aware that our children are extremely impressionable throughout their early years and although we cannot wrap them in cotton wool, we certainly need to protect them from any harmful examples.
