We begin our parenting course by learning exactly what it entails to be a parent. We learn about unconditional love and we learn about the reasons for not placing too high expectations on our child. It is important that the trust relationship builds between parent and child. Compassion is something we need to always show toward our child and we realise the importance of just how much our child learns throughout those first nine years of their life. Containment is a very important part of parenting in that it teaches your child to be patient and wait for things. Parents nurture their child and protect their child also stick up for them and support them. Our children need to have confidence in us and be able to trust us and depend on us.
