This course involves taking a closer look at the reasons for relationship breakdown. One of the major reasons for this is that people refuse to acknowledge the part that they play in the breakdown of the relationship. If we admit that we may have behaved in an improper way then we are able to address the problem and deal properly with it. We behave with stubbornness, blaming each other, refusing to see reason, exercising control over our partner and further immature behaviours. We also begin to rationalise away our behaviour and make further excuses for ourselves. All of the above sabotages the health of the relationship.
